The Scream Starts Thursday, July 2nd

The Scream is almost upon us and our friends at Open Book have packed their website with Scream-y wonderfulness. To begin, this month's Writer in Residence Gregory Betts gives his guide to this year's festival, highlighting our Die Scream Die: A Musical Revue Launch and Incidental Readings among a few others.

In addition to this, Open Book has done a special issue dedicated to the Scream Festival! In it you'll find an interview with our fearless leader Bill Kennedy alongside Zoe Whitall's excellent piece on Stet: Redacting the Redacted and a piece on long-time Scream performer and organizer Maggie Helwig.

Make to read Scream blogger Jacob McArthur Mooney's absolutely wonderful reflection on Dennis Lee's work in conjunction with our Book Length Dinner. Read the piece by clicking here.

Lots to read before we bury the book. Keep coming back for more info.

The Scream Literary Festival would not be possible without the generous funding of the Canada Council for the Arts, The Department of Canadian Heritage (through its Arts Presentation Program), The Ontario Arts Council and The Toronto Arts Council. Site designed by Stop14 Media.
